To this day my payroll is on the email address I used when I opened my business and the software along with the new QuickBooks Time program I just had to purchase is on the email address account I used to purchase the past couple or three updates. I have tried three separate times and all three times, the promise was "no worries" we will fix it. Personally, I have two intuit accounts that I have been trying for over 10 years to unify. Most of us were sick of their atrocious tech support, their lack of development, the lack of fixing bugs and their archaic accounting systems on their own side of the equation. Most of us were quite unhappy with the crap QuickBooks deals to us. Most of us where quite happy with the simple QuickBooks timer we had for years if not a decade or more. They prefer to force their customers to pay more money. Instead they just try to go for the money grab and eliminate simple functionality that they had in the past and replacing it with more fees and complexity for their end users. They can't sell their wares by continued development of their software to serve the end users and continuing to work the bugs in the system out that have been there for years.
All of us who run a small business know what I am talking about and is why we left large uncaring multi layered, multi-managed manager department after department, back office procedure after procedure hierarchy that leaves individuals with numbers an not names and no one with common sense. America for an organization that has become so big and focused on themselves how much can you really care? Answer is not much. If you work for $7.00/hour as tech support in the Philippines how much do you really care? If you work in N. Not only is their staff generally not very well trained, but I am convinced they are generally liars.
They are just trying to sell you something. The sales representative told me don't worry the timekeeper will still work. I also purchased 2023 after being kicked off of 2020 due to the lack of connectivity for payroll. I spent five hours on the phone on Friday and another three hours on Saturday. No one at QuickBooks would disclose the fact that they were canning QuickBooks Timer program. Please comment back to this thread if you need anything else. If it persists, try using the repair tool for your QuickBooks company file to remove unexpected behavior in the system. The tool scan data issues within the company file and self-resolves them. Since it suddenly removes the feature that you're currently working with, I suggest running the Verify and Rebuild Data utility in the system. QuickBooks time entry can be achieved using third-party timekeeping systems as mentioned by my peer. I understand how essential it is for you and your business to have the QuickBooks timer application.
